Yummy Yummy Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Yummy Yummy Brown Sugar Meatloaf

While I can't take credit for the recipe, I would like to be able to take credit for you tasting the best meatloaf I've ever had.

Sounds like quite the odd thing for me to blog about but a few folks on Instagram showed some interest, and anyone whom I've ever shared the recipe with, or made it for, agrees that...

 "Mmmmmm that's some tasty shit!"

I went ahead and took some pics while I was making it and I have to say... who knew raw meat was so photogenic.  Lol "raw meat"  kinda reminds me of something.   Oh yea! My inbox! Hahaha!

Anyway, I'm no professional cook so no Gordon Ramsay-ing my skills at handling my meat or my presentation ! LoL Just eat that shit!..  the meatloaf that is... Just eat the meatloaf!

Now for the recipe...
(Ok, wait one more thing. I really recommend having mashed potatoes and corn for the sides, cause yumm!)

Brown Sugar Meat Loaf

½ cup brown sugar

½ cup ketchup

2 pounds ground beef

1 package Lipton Onion Soup Mix

½ - ¾ cup milk

2 eggs

¼ tsp black pepper

½ tsp ground ginger

1 cup oatmeal

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and put aluminum foil in shallow baking pan (one recipe called for a 5 x 9 loaf pan).

Press brown sugar in bottom of prepared pan and spread ketchup over sugar (If using baking sheet press the brown sugar out only as wide as the shape meatloaf).

In a mixing bowl, mix thoroughly all remaining ingredients and shape into a loaf.

Place on top of ketchup

Bake in in preheated oven for 1 hour or until juices are clear.
Flip loaf over onto cookie sheet and leave loaf pan on top.

Let stand 10 minutes.
